MY APPROACH

 Photography is one of my passions and I hope that of my photography will illicit a response within you. The proverb goes that  'A picture is worth a thousand words' and it is my hope that my photos do. Even more so, I hope it causes a reaction, whether it it be a positive, confusing, or negative response, any response is desired!

MY SUBJECT MATTER

I have been doing photography for a number of years, only recently have I begun selling my work and working in the art community. I do fire photography as well as more traditional subjects.

Statuary is one of my favorite things to capture because there are so many angles, shadows and variables. A very stationary solid object can look so different depending on how it is approached and the pieces of it you observe. Sometimes it can look like a completely different piece of work and sometimes the piece even feels like it is moving. I take many photos in small towns and cemeteries, Gettysburg Battlefield, Savannah GA (Bonaventure Cemetary and throughout the town itself).

I also have quite a few wildlife photos, egrets, herons, beautiful ancient trees, meandering paths and flowers. In many of these traditional subjects I take a non-traditional approach, give them a new look, and hopefully a new appreciation. In the smallest things we can see incredible beauty! Its amazing what you see when you stop and examine the world that is around us everyday.
